Surviving First Semester and then some...

As I sit in my house, all snowed in and enjoying some much needed r & r, I can't help but think about the incredible whirlwind that I have survived. First semester I went from meeting complete strangers and learning about material I could not even dream of, to having an incredible group of friends and knowing what discounted free cash flow is and (in theory) how to calculate it...It was grueling, exhausting, hilarious, trying, and just a lot of fun. The sheer joy on people's faces yesterday (aided by some festive holiday drinks) was so fantastic. We have our international experience trips in January. I am heading to Egypt and Ghana, and one of my classmates, Soji (a fellow blogger), invited us all to be his family's guests in Nigeria for a few days after we leave Ghana. 15 of us took him up on the offer. 1 year ago I could never have imagined that I would be staying with my new friend and his family in Lagos for three days. Friends are meeting up in all sorts of places before we go on the trip: Morocco, at Mt. Kilimanjaro, Israel. What an incredible way to get to know my classmates even better. So my next update will be after these travels. Have a great holiday!
