Student-Run Gym Opens in Evans Hall

The student-run gym in Evans Hall, Fit for Thought, has officially opened its doors.

Fit for Thought is open to the entire Yale SOM community, including faculty, staff, students, and partners. The gym offers a mix of cardio, strength, and plyometric equipment, and is maintained by students. Proceeds of the gym benefit the Internship Fund, which provides stipends for students choosing summer internships in the nonprofit and public sectors.

The student-run gym was chosen through a business plan competition in 2011 to succeed Food for Thought, a student-run café on Yale SOM's previous campus whose proceeds also supported the Internship Fund.
