Snapshots from EMBA Global Network Week

Each June, schools across the Global Network for Advanced Management host Global Network Week, a weeklong learning experience for executive MBA students. This year, the mini-courses were moved online, but that didn't keep participants from learning and connecting. Several students in the Yale SOM MBA for Executives Class of 2021 shared insights from the courses they attended.

“I had an amazing time with students from all over the world, including: EGADE Business School, ESMT Berlin, School of Management at Fudan University, Hitotsubashi University, IE Business School, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, Imperial College Business School, Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Skolkovo, SNU Business School, Strathmore University, UBC Sauder School of Business, and AGSM @ UNSW Business School.”

“It was exceptional and quite refreshing working with highly motivated and talented individuals from across the globe. The course material, which explored the far-reaching implications of COVID-19 and its impact on the future of business, thrust to the fore the inextricable link between the planet, people, and profit, as these are integral in our understanding of the roles we play as leaders in business and society. I will highly recommend this course for anyone that aspires to lead and thrive in the post COVID-19 world.”

Topic: Social Innovation

“We ‘went’ to Mexico City for a class on social innovation for our Global Network week. We learned about social enterprises, social return on investment, and the triple bottom line. EGADE is providing us with a great experience. The class was extremely interesting and they included a historian to give us insights about the Mexican culture and customs. She inspired all of us to plan a trip to Mexico City in the not-too-distant future.”
