Photos: Talent on Display for a Good Cause

One of the hallmarks of Yale SOM is the Internship Fund, a community initiative to financially support students who take public and social sector summer internships. Internship Fundraising Week—which, in conjunction with the Internship Fund Auction on April 12, is one of the main ways students raise funds to support their classmates—recently culminated in a talent show. Star Search was held at Toad’s Place, a live music venue in downtown New Haven. In true SOM fashion, not only did the students show off their talents during the event, but star faculty, not-so-star staff, and even the dean got into the act by making fools of themselves for a good cause—this year in a dance routine to Britney Spears’ “Baby One More Time.” A good time was had by all—mostly at our expense—and, most important, IF Week beat its fundraising target and put the Internship Fund well on its way toward another successful year of supporting students.
