Photos: International Experience 2019—India

In March, students in the International Experience course traveled to the Balkans, China, Israel, India, Japan, New Zealand, Peru, and South Africa to learn about local business environments and cultures—and sent back photos of their experiences.

IE India offered broad exposure to India’s business, government, not-for-profit, and cultural sectors, with a particular focus on organizations with indigenous origins, some multinational scale, and ambitions. The IE’s goal was to give students a broad perspective on Indian business and society, its current challenges, and the complexities of a rapidly growing economy. In class sessions that preceded the trip, students got an understanding of the historical, cultural, and socioeconomic context within which business operates in this multicultural and multilingual subcontinent, and the rapid sociocultural changes resulting from the coming of age of this young nation.
