Meet the MAM Class of 2022

This year we welcome the 10th class of Master of Advanced Management students at the Yale School of Management. The MAM Class of 2022’s 55 students come from 17 Global Network for Advanced Management schools, where they completed or are in the process of completing their MBA degrees. Among the Class of 2022, 27 citizenships are represented, 45% of the students are women, and the average age is 32.

MAM students speak 22 languages, and the average years of work experience among the group is eight years. Fifty students hold a passport outside of the U.S., and almost half of the class has worked in a country outside of their home country.

MAM students spend a year at Yale curating their own curricula, choosing from electives offered across the university. Students can either take a deep dive into a specific focus area of their choosing or select a wide range of topics covered in thousands of elective courses. Along with elective courses, students will take two required classes, one where students discuss some of the biggest global issues facing leaderes today, and the other concentrating on leadership development.

Students in the Class of 2022 come from many different professions. There are entrepreneurs (one student has started two restaurants), auditors, lawyers, consultants, senior brand managers, a licensed realtor, and military veterans. One student is a part-time professor in accounting and finance, and another worked for the federal congress in Mexico. There is a vice president at Goldman Sachs in the class, and a student who has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 13 years. Seventeen students have engineering degrees, five students have law degrees, and three students are CPAs.

MAM students also bring a wide array of interests and hobbies. One student holds a patent for a device testing artificial limbs, and another is a volunteer firefighter in Chile. One student is trained in classical ballet, while another is a bassist in a band. Many are sports enthusiasts, enjoying watching and playing soccer, tennis, basketball, and golf, as well as running.

We are excited to welcome this incredibly diverse and accomplished group of students to the MAM Class of 2022 as they begin their journey at Yale SOM.
