Students with an entrepreneurial spirit from across Yale University converged on Yale SOM last week for the inaugural Startup Speed Dating event.
Co-sponsored by the Entrepreneurship and Design & Innovation clubs, the event brought together students with ideas for startup businesses with students interested in contributing their business, technical, or other skills to a new venture.
Jen Gaze ’16, an organizer of the event, said that the turnout showed that there is interest in entrepreneurship throughout the Yale campus.
“There are about 50 to 60 people from across the university,” she said, “from Yale College, SOM, the School of Public Health, and the School of Forestry & Environmental Studies. With those intersections, I think really good things could happen.”
