Global Network Investment Competition

Fifth Global Network Investment Competition is Underway

Global Network Investment Competition 19-20
The Global Network Investment Competition, which began in 2015, is currently underway for the fifth year in a row.  The investment competition, hosted by the Yale School of Management, is a one-of-a-kind contest dedicated to equity investments sourced from top business students around the globe.  A record number of 24 teams from 15 countries across the Global Network for Advanced Management business schools have entered the competition this year.

Global Network students submit portfolios consisting of five investment ideas from the country in which the Global Network students attend school.  Each team then competes to win the performance prize in which their portfolio performance is measured net of the respective local index over a six-month period, ending this year on April 30, 2020.  You can track all 24 teams in real time with interactive graphs and dive deeper into each portfolio to view  performance at various time periods throughout the competition.

Yale SOM team winners 18-19
Team Capital Y, the team from Yale SOM,
won the 2018-2019 security analysis prize.

All teams are also eligible to compete for the security analysis prize in which a panel of judges read each team’s report looking for the best investment thesis. The top four teams then compete in a live, virtual stock-pitch competition and winners are chosen by the panel of judges based on the quality of the investment thesis, research, question and answer with the judges, and their presentation skills.

The Yale School of Management International Center for Finance is proud to have been a sponsor of this competition each of the five years and we are looking forward to this year’s competition!  We wish the best of luck to all of the Global Network students and their teams!
