SOM Fall 2020: Key Points

Yale Community Compact

All students will be asked to sign a Community Compact as a condition for returning to campus.

De-densified use of Evans Hall

Public health directives will require us to de-densify classroom and all public spaces in Evans Hall. Students will alternate between in-person and online participation in courses, and other uses of the building will be minimized. There will be restrictions on gatherings in public spaces and the use of breakout rooms, lounges, restrooms, etc. For more information, please visit:  Learning and Teaching at SOM in Fall 2020.

Hybrid instruction

Every class session will have a subset of students connecting online. The technology in Evans Hall enables us to integrate remote students fully with those attending in person. Faculty and support staff are preparing to create the best possible learning experience.

COVID-19 screening and health precautions

We will strictly follow University protocols for viral testing and all other health measures stipulated for students, faculty, and staff, which will continue to be updated based on public health conditions. You can also view the Return to Yale checklist before you arrive on campus.

International Students

International students, especially those starting the program, face visa delays and travel restrictions, which may require them to start the program online until they can get to New Haven. We are preparing for students to participate in school activities online from distant time zones.
