A Conversation with Lofton Holder ‘90 and Jamila Abston EMBA ‘17

In honor of Black History Month, the EMBA program and SOM Community & Inclusion have organized a talk with SOM alumni Lofton Holder ‘90, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Pine Street Alternative Asset Management. Lofton is a founding partner and the Managing Partner for Pine Street Alternative Asset Management. From 2005 to 2010, Mr. Holder was managing director and head of the US and European Marketing and Client Service Team for Investcorp’s $5 billion Hedge Fund Group. In this capacity, he was responsible for growing the revenue of a start-up group to a run rate of nearly $60 million at the time of his departure in 2010. Moderator: Jamila Abston EMBA ‘17.

In honor of Black History Month, the MBA for Executives and SOM Community & Inclusion have organized a panel discussion with SOM alumni Lofton Holder ’90, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Pine Street Alternative Asset Management and Jamila Abston ’17, Partner at Ernst & Young LLP. Lofton is a founding partner and the Managing Partner for Pine Street Alternative Asset Management. From 2005 to 2010, Mr. Holder was managing director and head of the US and European Marketing and Client Service Team for Investcorp’s $5 billion Hedge Fund Group. Jamila is a Partner at Ernst & Young LLP in the FSO Consulting Financial Services Risk Management practice. She provides risk coverage on wealth & asset management accounts. Jamila rejoined EY from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, where she served as the assistant regional director for the Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations. . Prior to the SEC, Jamila was a manager in the EY Fraud Investigations and Dispute Services practice where she led restatements, investigations, and litigation support matters for healthcare, manufacturing, government, and technology clients. Jamila is also the recipient of the 2018 Yale SOM Alumni Relations Award for Outstanding Volunteer Leadership. Moderator: Wendy Tsung, Assistant Dean, MBA for Executives
