Your Yale SOM Reunion is an opportunity to come back to campus and also to give back to the school.

The Reunion Gift Campaign is a fundraising effort leading up to each class’s Yale SOM reunion (every five years), with the goal of inspiring Alumni Fund participation at all giving levels, while also securing significant commitments to enhance the school’s excellence.

A larger-than-usual gift to the Yale SOM Alumni Fund or a multi-year commitment (payable over 5 years) is a meaningful way to commemorate your reunion and have an ongoing impact at Yale SOM. In honor of milestone reunion years, some alumni may choose to make substantial commitments to other specific areas at Yale SOM in addition to their standard Alumni Fund gifts.

Reunion Gift Campaign Volunteers

Volunteers are the key to a successful Reunion Gift Campaign. Volunteers work with SOM Development staff to plan and implement a class fundraising strategy that will reach the broadest spectrum of the class in a personal and thoughtful way. Volunteers’ knowledge and relationships with their classmates allow for an effective and meaningful peer-to-peer solicitation process.

Reunion Gift Campaign volunteers can be involved by doing any of the following:

  • Work with SOM Reunion Giving staff and fellow Gift Campaign members to reach reunion dollar and participation goals.
  • Have strategic conversations with 5–10 classmates (of your choosing) face-to-face or by phone/email, asking them for stretch gifts or pledges to maximize class giving.
  • Thank classmates who have agreed to give.
  • Lead by example and make a multi-year pledge in honor of your reunion.
