SOM's First MAM Graduates

The MAM Class of 2013 with Dean Snyder and Dean BachYesterday was a great day for the Master of Advanced Management (MAM) program as it marked the graduation of the first MAM class.  Twenty students from ten Global Network Schools and eleven countries arrived in New Haven late last August with the courage to embrace a concept and leave having established the MAM as an integral part of the SOM Community.  A tradition at Yale is that all graduates across the University and their friends and family gather on Old Campus and each Dean presents their degree candidates to the University President.  My personal highlight was watching Dean Snyder present the MAM candidates to President Levin on stage at Old Campus in front of 15,000 people and President Levin granting the first MAM degrees.

All future MAM cohorts will owe a debt of gratitude to the MAM Class of 2013 who faced the challenges inherent in any new program and embraced the opportunities unique to the MAM, SOM and Yale.  In doing so they built the foundation from which the MAM program will grow and flourish.  Congratulations to Davinia, Alexey, Bin, Juan C, Jeremy, Christian, Joan, Fatih, Nikolay, Sojung, Sungchul, Vivian, Alfonso, Juan S, Helen, Max, Michael, Hualong, Tony and Bernard!
