Snow in Spring

After a rather forgiving winter, it finally snowed last night. Funny thing is I found out through a torrent of excited Facebook updates before I saw the white blanket of snow outside my window.Spring semester is the first time first-years get to choose electives apart from taking core classes. Shopping for electives is definitely fun given that SOM students are able to take classes at the other grad schools and even the undergrad college. I personally took advantage of this and will be taking 3 electives this semester including Intro to Programming, Elementary Indonesian and an independent study course with Professor Jeffrey Garten. As part of SOM Outreach, I will also be working on a non-profit consulting project with ArtSpace to develop a marketing plan for their annual City-Wide Open Studios event. The art scene in New Haven is pretty vibrant and I personally took a pottery class at Creative Arts Workshop on Audubon Street last semester, which was fantastic and a great way to meet other Yale students.
