September in New Haven

After a hot summer in tropical Vietnam, I’ve really enjoyed the weather in New Haven the last few weeks. I’ve savored an iced coffee and a book at the outdoor seating of the café-next-door, played Settlers of Catan with SOM classmates at the neighborhood park (see right), worked on student club planning at the top of East Rock, and eaten free burgers in the courtyard of the graduate students’ pub. It looks like it will last a while longer (see the 10-day forecast per Weather.com at bottom). Coming up? A 4.7-mile charity run where teams of SOM students will compete for braging rights, the second annual East Rock Festival on Orange St., and perhaps apple-picking at a local orchard.
