Career Development Office

The Career Development Office (CDO) at Yale SOM provides career coaching and resources to Yale MBA for Executives students both during your program and after graduation, as alumni. Whether you are interested in advancing in your current organization, making a career pivot, or evaluating unexpected opportunities, the CDO offers resources to support you.

Career Workshops

The CDO curriculum includes résumé and cover letter writing, networking, job search strategy, interviewing skills, working with recruiters, and negotiation strategy. Workshops are offered both in person and online.

One-on-One Advising

At Yale SOM, you will have the opportunity to work closely with CDO staff who provide students with coaching, guidance, and tools as you navigate your career. Appointments may be in person on class weekends or by phone or video conference at other times during the week. Many students find remote appointments on non-class days more productive and focused.

Career Management System

As a Yale MBA for Executives student (as well as after you graduate), you will have access to the Career Management System to peruse job postings, apply for senior level opportunities, register for workshops and events, and schedule coaching appointments. All Yale SOM students are encouraged to create a profile and upload a resume so potential employers may view your professional background.

Alumni Network

As a Yale SOM student, you have immediate access to the almost 10,000 graduates of the school, leaders in a variety of fields and industries. You also can access the broader network of over 175,000 Yale graduates. Yale SOM students frequently remark on how responsive our alumni are to inquiries.
