We are excited to announce that the 2014-2015 Yale SOM MBA application is now live. In addition, we are announcing an important change to our application fee: we are reducing the application fee for potential students with lower incomes. Most applicants will pay the standard fee of $225, but those applicants whose total annual compensation is under $20,000 per year will pay $175, and those with total compensation under $10,000 will pay $125.

In my last director's note, I recounted an "Only at Yale" moment, when I bumped into Henry Kissinger, who was walking through Evans Hall after giving a talk to the Yale community. That incident highlighted to me the convening power of Yale.

Since we ask you to share your path to business school in painstaking detail when you apply to our program, I think it’s only fair for me to doff my admissions hat and share my own journey to SOM with you, with the hope that this might be helpful at whatever stage you are at in the application (pre-, peri-, or post-) process.
