A broad understanding of management. A deep knowledge of healthcare.
You already know that healthcare is an incredibly complex industry. You face the rapidly evolving role of government; increasing cost pressures; demands from new technology; the constant need to balance fiscal demands and social value.
To make good leadership decisions, you need to understand all the stakeholders involved and their varied points of view, draw on a breadth of insights and creativity, and make use of a rigorous foundation of analysis and knowledge.
The Yale SOM MBA curriculum is designed to teach you the skills you will need to lead in the complex, fast-moving healthcare industry.
The Yale MBA core curriculum starts with the way modern organizations actually work and teaches you to analyze and understand the full scope of information you need to make good decisions. Specialized healthcare classes and content deepen your understanding of the industry.
Leadership Thinking and Practice
You'll get a framework for thinking about leadership, based on current scholarship, in the classroom and in the Leadership Development Program. You will also advance your individual leadership goals by doing—for example, organizing distinctive Yale SOM events or launching your own venture.
The foundation of a great university, like Yale, is the deep expertise of its faculty, developed through the continual search for new knowledge.
Twenty-Two Months to Your MBA
The Leadership in Healthcare program begins with a two-week mid-summer residence program. Over the next 22 months, you'll spend every other weekend at Yale for classes, discussions with visiting scholars, workshops, and extracurricular activities. In May, you'll receive your degree at Yale University Commencement.
International study is an optional component of the Yale MBA. But awareness of global connections is also a deep part of discussion and action at the school every day. Through the connections of the Yale network, as well as the 23-school Global Network for Advanced Management, you will gain a view to every corner of the globe.
