Professor Robert Shiller Receives the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences

Professor Robert Shiller, Sterling Professor of Economics and Professor of Finance, was presented with the 2013 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences, together with Eugene Fama and Lars Peter Hansen of the University of Chicago, at a ceremony in Stockholm on December 10.

Shiller gave his Prize Lecture, titled “Speculative Asset Prices,” on December 8 in Stockholm. Watch the lecture.

The prize, officially known as the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel, was awarded to Shiller, Fama, and Hansen in recognition of their "empirical analysis of asset prices."
