Prof. Andrew Metrick Named to Financial Research Advisory Committee

Andrew Metrick, Yale SOM’s deputy dean and the Michael H. Jordan Professor of Finance and Management, has been named to the Financial Research Advisory Committee, a panel of experts that advises the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Financial Research. The Office of Financial Research was created by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act in the wake of the financial crisis of 2007–2009 to increase understanding of threats to financial stability.

Metrick has previously served as chief economist of the Council of Economic Advisers and is a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. He is the director of the Yale Program on Financial Stability, which advances academic research on systemic risk in financial markets and brings together academics with the regulators charged with maintaining financial stability.
