John Shrewsberry '92

President, Wells Fargo Securities

Changing government regulation and a tight credit environment are forcing big banks to rethink the way they do business. As president of Wells Fargo Securities, John Shrewsberry ’92 brings more than 20 years of experience in banking and investing to this task. A founder of American Commercial Capital, which made loans to restaurant franchises and packaged them for investors, Shrewsberry joined Wells Fargo in 2001 after the bank bought the company. He was named president of Wells Fargo's investment banking and sales and trading arm in 2008.

Shrewsberry spoke to Yale Insights in 2012 about how banks are keeping up with the rapid pace of change today.
