It's been a great summer...

I've been having a great summer. My internship is going well; I've been working on several really interesting projects. The first involved looking at 30 different projects to find commonalities in the challenges that arose, and making some recommendations for dealing with those process issues in the future. One of the best things about the project is that it actually will be used in a way that has significant impact on the company. My other projects are a bit more quantitative, for example, one has involved building a statistical model to find the relationship between IT spending and profitability. I've also been able to spend some time exploring the area. Boston is fairly close, so my wife and I revisited some of our old haunts. Newport is also close, so last weekend we toured one of the mansions there, and checked out the area a bit. The summer has been fun, but I am looking forward to the coming school year. There are some classes that I am pretty excited about taking.
