The Game 2011

As I went to high school in Singapore and college at NYU, this was my first ever college football game and tailgate. And I admit I was unprepared for the scale of the event; It was huge! There were tens of thousands of people coming in from all over the US. I even met an alumnus who flew in from Texas and graduated over 40 years ago. Pretty amazing to see all the school spirit in action.

Unfortunately, we lost. But the lesson I learnt is that the result is not the only reason why people go to the game. More importantly, the game brings us together (grad students, undergrads, faculty and alumni) to cheer on the institution we are all proud members of.
