YPFS Conference Call for Papers 2014

The Yale Program on Financial Stability (YPFS) is holding its inaugural conference on August 1, 2014 on the campus of Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. The conference is held jointly with the Journal of Banking and Finance (JBF) on the topic of “bank capital”. We especially welcome papers that successfully bring academic rigor to practical questions faced by regulators.

The Yale Program on Financial Stability (YPFS) is holding its inaugural conference on August 1, 2014 on the campus of Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. The conference is held jointly with the Journal of Banking and Finance (JBF) on the topic of “bank capital”. We especially welcome papers that successfully bring academic rigor to practical questions faced by regulators.

Original contributions are invited on any topic in bank capital,
including but not limited to:

  • The cost and benefits of capital requirements Bank capital and systemic risk
  • Contingent capital
  • Bank capital and financial crisis
  • Historical analysis of bank capital
  • General equilibrium effects of bank capital requirements Capital requirements and shadow banking
  • Analysis of Basel III, including implementation Liquidity rules in Basel III

Dates:

Full paper submission: 27th April 2014

Subject to the normal review process, a selection of conference papers will be eligible for submission for inclusion in a special issue of the Journal of Banking and Finance

Submit Papers Online

Authors of papers presented at the 2014 YPFS conference are invited to submit their papers to JBF for consideration for publication in the special issue. Papers submitted for this special issue will go through the normal JBF submission and review process. Papers must be submitted through the EES website and authors should specify YPFS 2014 for "Article Type" during the submission process.”
