Kyle Jensen is an entrepreneur, developer, and scientist. Before joining the Yale SOM faculty, he co-founded Agrivida, a venture-backed biotechnology company based in Boston; PriorSmart, a patent analytics provider (acquired by RPX, Nasdaq:RPXC); and Pit Rho, a leader in motorsport analytics. He works with numerous Yale start-ups, now as Director of Entrepreneurial Programs at SOM and previously as mentor and entrepreneur-in-residence at the Yale Entrepreneurial Institute. His academic research spans computational biology, intellectual property, and the sociology of science.

Rob is the founder and Managing Partner of New Haven-based Elm Street Ventures, a seed and early stage venture capital firm in which Yale is the largest investor. Since the fund closed in 2006, ESV has invested in sixteen companies in the fields of life sciences, software, and sustainable technologies. Fourteen of the companies are either Yale related or located in the greater New Haven area. Nine portfolio companies have licensed patents from Yale. Rob and ESV were co-founders of seven of the companies and work closely with founders and management before and after investment.
Mr. Bettigole has served as a board member of AxioMx, Occam (chairman and start-up CEO), P2 (chairman), Retail Optimization, Inc., Samara Innovations (chairman), and ShareGrove (acquired by Facebook), and as an observer on the boards of Affomix (acquired by Illumina), Arvinas, BioRelix, and Metagenomix.
In 2013, Rob co-founded and now manages the $3 million YEI Innovation Fund. YEIIF invests in student-led ventures that have participated in programs of the Yale Entrepreneurial Institute. Mr. Bettigole has served on the Governing Board of YEI since its inception in 2007.
Before founding ESV in 2006, Rob ran an infrastructure business and helped found several start-ups. Earlier in his career, he was a venture capitalist with Rothschild Inc. and Investor AB.
Mr. Bettigole has a BS in Engineering and Applied Science from Yale University and an MPPM from the Yale School of Management, where he serves as an Executive Fellow and previously served as Entrepreneur-in-Residence. Rob has been a licensed professional engineer in the state of Connecticut since 1982.
