Focus Areas

Yale SOM case studies span a wide variety of topics and geographic locales, often integrating multiple perspectives in a single case.  An uncommon depth of expertise, however, is applied to the areas of Asset Management, Healthcare, and Sustainability – the core tracks of study available to Yale MBA students. In addition, the Yale Case Research and Development Team leads several case collaborations each year with partners in the Global Network for Advanced Management.

Asset Management

Asset management case studies address topics in financial regulation, behavioral finance, investments, sustainability, sourcing/managing funds, among many others. For case studies on financial stability, visit YPFS.

Healthcare

Yale SOM case studies in healthcare have been produced in collaboration with faculty at the schools of public health and medicine. Topics include operations, law & contracts, marketing, leadership, and strategy.

Sustainability

Case studies in Sustainability address business challenges in data & metrics, operations, innovation & design, strategy, and social enterprise.  Collaborators include the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental studies.
