The beverage industry is experiencing a period of tremendous change: 2016 was the first year ever where bottled water sales exceeded soda sales in the United States. How is PepsiCo adapting and taking advantage of the new opportunities created by this change in consumer tastes?  

PepsiCo vice president Todd Kaplan ’06 is leading the marketing for LIFEWATR, the company’s first premium water brand. In his talk, Todd will discuss the challenges of navigating a product launch in fast-growing but relatively nascent category.

Todd Kaplan ’06, is Vice President, Marketing – Hydration at PepsiCo. Having been with the company since 2005, he has enjoyed a range of roles within the marketing team. Prior to his current role, Todd served as Sr. Director of Marketing – Innovation and Incubation brands. He led marketing for the Mountain Dew brand, and also led Pepsi’s sports marketing team. Todd earned a BA in Economics at Northwestern University where he received the Outstanding Leadership Award, and received his MBA from Yale School of Management in 2006.
