Please join us on Monday, April 13 for the Colloquium on Business and Society, “At the Forefront of an Energy Revolution,” with Joseph Greenberg YC '83, President & CEO of Alta Resources, LLC. His talk will be followed by Q & A.

Alta Resources, L.L.C. is an independent oil and gas exploration and production company that Mr. Greenberg he founded in 1999.  Alta is an industry leader in development of North American shale oil and gas resource plays. Over the past ten years, Alta has played a leading role in the development of the Fayetteville Shale play in Arkansas, the Marcellus shale play in Pennsylvania and the Duvernay shale play in Alberta Canada. 

Mr. Greenberg is the Chairman of the Board for YES Prep Public Schools, a system of high performing charter schools serving more than 9,000 low income students in Houston.  Mr. Greenberg also serves on the Board of Contango Ore, Inc. and the Advisory Board for the Yale Climate and Energy Institute.

Mr. Greenberg received a BS in Geology and Geophysics from Yale University in 1983, and a Masters in Geological Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin in 1986.
