Diversity Month at Yale SOM

February is Diversity Month at Yale SOM and several student clubs are collaborating on a number of events throughout the month. The following events are cosponsored by the Black Business Alliance, Q+, WIM, and Student Government. All events are open to the entire Yale SOM community.

Q+ presents Winter’s a DRAG 

Come walk in someone else’s shoes at this party, equal parts informative and fun. Limited tickets available through CampusGroups, proceeds will support Immigration Equality.

3rd Annual African MBA Cocktail Gala

Join The Black Business Alliance at Yale SOM, the African Business Club at Columbia Business School and the Young African MBAs professionals group for the 3rd Annual African MBA Cocktail Gala. Come mingle and network with new and old friends at this cross-business school event open to all students and professional. Formal cocktail or traditional African attire required. Music by DJ Diddy-Mula!

Q+ presents Straight But Not Narrow

Q+ presents Straight But Not Narrow, the hotly anticipated workshop about managing sexuality and gender diversity in the workplace. With sketches written by several of SOM’s most hilarious comedians and comediennes, you do not want to miss out.

The Changing Face of Diversity in Business Education & Corporate Leadership

BBA presents The Changing Face of Diversity in Business Education & Corporate Leadership, a panel discussion and reception to explore the innovative strategies being employed by senior corporate leaders and top business school administrators to increase the visibility of underrepresented minorities, women, and LGBTQ professionals. Anticipated panelists include senior executives, business school administrators and faculty members from SOM, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, and Citi. Co-sponsored by WIM, Q+ and The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management.

SHARE Workshop

WIM presents the SHARE Workshop. With gender relations featuring prominently in business school news this year, the SHARE Workshop is an important opportunity to listen and discuss experiences at SOM and in the workplace. Participate to improve our school!

Closing Bell with a Special Jazz and Funk Performance

BBA and the Media & Entertainment Club will be hosting a Closing Bell with a Special Jazz and Funk Performance. Capping off a busy slate of Diversity Month events, BBA and the Media & Entertainment Club will blow everyone away with an incredible offering of jazz and funk tunes and a showcase of the fashions that that have helped shape black culture and identity in America.
