From the Director of Admissions: Our New Class

We were very pleased to welcome the full-time MBA Class of 2015 to campus last month. The members of the new class join us for a historic year at Yale SOM, as we will move into our new campus, the beautiful and technologically advanced Edward P. Evans Hall, after the fall semester. At 291 students, the Class of 2015 is the largest in the school’s history. It is also a group that is not only academically gifted and professionally accomplished, but very diverse in terms of backgrounds and experiences.

Even as we welcome the Class of 2015 to campus, we are busy meeting future members of the Class of 2016. Admissions officers and faculty members have been traveling the globe to meet prospective students, and will continue to do so in the coming months.

In addition, with summer on the wane and August giving way to September, attention is increasingly turning to our first application deadline on September 25. To help applicants prepare for this deadline, we held an online Application Tips Chat last week. If you missed that Chat, you can find the slides here. We will also host another Application Tips Chat on November 6  for those of you who plan to apply by our second application deadline on January 9, 2014.

Best of luck to those of you who are submitting your application by the Round 1 deadline on September 25. Our next newsletter will include a discussion of what happens to an application once you hit the “Submit” button.
