From the Director of Admissions: New Application Fee Waivers for Forté MBALaunchers and MLT MBA Prep Fellows

We are just one week away from our Round 1 application deadline, and I am delighted to share some exciting news from the Admissions team. For the 2016-17 application cycle, we will waive the application fee for Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT) MBA Prep Fellows and Forté MBALaunchers who apply to Yale SOM through our online application.

We are proud of Yale SOM’s commitment to building a diverse and inclusive community. Yale SOM’s desire to recruit, support, engage, and train female leaders is central to our founding mission to educate leaders for business and society. These women will be at the forefront of organizations making a positive difference in the world. Forté MBALaunch is a 10-month program that provides a supportive network and structure for talented pre-MBA professional women applying to business schools. Yale SOM is a Forté Foundation-sponsoring business school and was one of the founding schools of the Forté Foundation in 2001.

Yale SOM is also a premier business school partner with MLT, a nonprofit organization that equips African American, Latino, and Native American rising leaders with the skills and connections they need to lead in complex, global organizations. Yale SOM has a long relationship with MLT dating back to 2002, when we hosted the very first MBA Prep seminar on our campus. Through this partnership, our students make valuable professional and personal connections through MLT’s networking opportunities, MBA skill building content, and MBA admissions workshops. In addition to these new application fee waivers, Yale SOM will continue to waive the admissions application fee for staff, volunteers, and alumni of Teach for America, Teach for China, and Teach for India; United States military service members and veterans; current or former Peace Corps volunteers; and current Yale students.
