President, Corporation for Enterprise Development (CFED)

Assets change the way you think about the future.

While poverty is often defined as a lack of income, Andrea Levere '83, president of the Corporation for Enterprise Development (CFED), says that a lack of assets is the real problem. CFED engages in advocacy and does research, working to create initiatives with the goal of helping poor people build assets. Prior to joining CFED, Levere was a director with the National Development Council.

Levere spoke to students at Yale SOM in 2012 about helping to build a road out of poverty.
